All Lampranthus species flower between June and August, and are pollinated by a range of insects, such as bees, wasps and beetles.

White Arum Lily (Zantedeschia Aethiopica)

Arum lily is an old-fashioned tuberous perennial that traditionally symbolised rebirth. Where hardy, this South African native is an evergreen, clump-forming perennial, but it may also be grown as a tender bulb in temperate zones. Throughout the season it produces large, glossy medium to dark green, arrow-shaped leaves. In spring and summer, large, showy, creamy white blooms appear. These consist of a large, petal-like structure, called a spathe, which wraps around a protruding floral column, called a spadix.

Arums grows up to 1.2 m tall by 0.9 m wide in full to partial sun and moist, fertile soil. It may be grown as a summer bedding plant, conservatory or houseplant, or in a semi-aquatic garden, and its blooms make beautiful, long-lasting cut flowers. Arums like acidic to neutral, clay, loam, sand soil with average to poor drainage. Arums are used for bedding plant, container, cut flower, feature plant, tropical and water gardens. Also available in Green Goddess and Spotted White.

Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea is a genus of thorny ornamental vines, bushes, and trees with flower-like spring leaves near its flowers. The vine species grow anywhere from 1 to 12 metre tall, scrambling over other plants with their spiky thorns. They are evergreen where rainfall occurs all year, or deciduous if there is a dry season. The leaves are alternate, simple ovate-acuminate (oval, but narrowed to a slender point at the tip), 4 – 13 cm long and 2 – 6 cm broad. The actual flower of the plant is small and generally white, but each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with the bright colours associated with the plant, including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow.

Gaura Lindheimeri (Belleza Series)

Gaura Belleza is a long-lived, tap-rooted, hardy perennial that is native to Texas and Louisiana. Belleza rose has a clumping, upright, airy habit, fine green foliage and tall stems lined with delicate flowers. These bee and butterfly magnets appear from early summer to autumn and are generally pink in bud opening to white, soft rose pink or dark pink flowers. Remove spent flower stalks to extend flowering and prevent self-sowing.

Gardenia Florida

Gardenias are attractive, low maintenance shrubs with large, creamy white flowers and glossy green leaves. The flowers have an exquisite perfume that pervades surrounding areas and creates a magical, romantic atmosphere in the garden. Gardenias flower at their best in the warmer months of the year, usually from November to May.

Gardenia Florida (as in the picture) is one of the best gardenias available. It produces masses of perfumed flowers on a hardy plant. ‘Florida’ grows to about 1 m x 1 m.

Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis (Hybrids)

Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis is an evergreen shrub that originates from China. Hybrid cultivars are derived from cross pollination of two cultivated varieties. This tropical hibiscus is vigorous and blooms well over an extended period of time. The leaves are glossy, dark green and broadly heart-shaped while its flowers vary in shape from large, broad and radial to smaller and double.
